Last Ramadhan, Islamic Relief (IR) distributed food packs to over 932,000 people in 25 countries across the world.
The packs vary from country to country but will typically contain staple foods such as rice, flour, sugar and oil. In some countries, people also receive other food, such as dates, condensed milk and meat or chicken.
The food packs, worth more than €2 million, were handed out to orphans, widows, refugees and displaced people, the elderly, the disabled and people who have been affected by natural disasters.
Last year, IR distributed over 17,000 more food packs than in 2005. This year your donation can help IR reach even more of the world’s poorest people.
